The cipín case is named after the Irish word cipín—meaning “little twig”—a reference to the earliest bodhrán players who shaped rhythm with hand-carved sticks. This case honours that legacy, while bringing elegance, function, and sustainability into the 21st century.
Designed by Irish percussionist Ruairí Glasheen and handmade by a small North London workshop, just a short cycle from his studio, every cipín case carries a sense of place, purpose, and pride.
Why Suede?
This is the cipín case, elevated.
Crafted from supple Italian suede and lined with beautiful deadstock Japanese denim, the Suede Edition brings a refined texture and premium durability to your percussion toolkit. These materials were saved from waste and repurposed for a life of music—no two runs will ever be the same.
Every tag is hand-printed and cut by Ruairí himself, and every case is assembled with care in small batches, making each one a limited-edition original.
