Collection: The Cipín Case

The cipín case is named after the Irish word cipín—meaning “little twig”—a reference to the earliest bodhrán players who shaped rhythm with hand-carved sticks called a cipín. This case honours that legacy, while bringing elegance, function, and sustainability into the 21st century.

I designed the cipín case to be both practical and personal—a way to carry the tools of our craft with pride. Whether you choose the wax cotton or the suede edition, each case is handmade in small batches just a short cycle from my studio in North London. The wax cotton version has a rugged, road-ready feel, lined with deadstock mustard canvas. The suede edition brings a more refined edge, crafted from soft Italian suede and lined with Japanese denim. Both hold six tippers plus a tuning key or pencil, and are made using repurposed fabrics—so each production run is unique and limited. For me, it's about blending function, tradition, and sustainability into something you’ll want to bring to every session.
